Carbon Emission Accounting.
Planet Sustech, TechEngg Group's sustainability technology company, measures and reports carbon emissions across the full value chain, from a single facility through to Scope 3.

Emissions reporting has moved from voluntary disclosure to a condition of doing business. BRSR is mandatory for India's largest listed companies, and carbon data now feeds financing terms, supplier qualification and tender eligibility. The report is only as good as the measurement behind it, which is where most programmes come apart.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 are tractable, covering fuel an organisation burns and energy it buys. Scope 3 is the difficulty, and it holds 70 to 80 percent of a typical footprint. It runs across fifteen categories, from purchased goods and capital equipment through to how a product is used and treated at end of life, so the count depends on data held by suppliers and customers rather than by the reporting company. Getting it right takes knowledge of the industry and its value chain, not only a data platform.

Energy purchased by the organisation.
Sources across suppliers, customers and the wider value chain.
Planet Sustech delivers this through Karbon, its own platform, which holds track, measure, plan, reduce, act and report in one place rather than across a spreadsheet estate. It draws on more than a million emission factors and country-specific data sources including DEFRA, the US EPA, exiobase and Greenview, with methodology from the GHG Protocol and the IPCC, so the numbers stand up to an auditor rather than only to internal review.

The work is built for hard-to-abate sectors, which is also where TechEngg Group operates: oil and gas, iron and steel, aluminium, automobile, cables, real estate and construction, railways and ports. Planet Sustech maps the full value chain for these industries, in energy from exploration through to abandonment, so emission sources are identified from the process itself rather than estimated from spend.
Measurement is the starting point rather than the deliverable. The same platform carries reduction planning against a Net Zero trajectory, supplier and employee engagement for the Scope 3 problem, a marketplace of clean technologies, carbon offsetting, and fast-tracked green and ISO certification through a certification partner.
