Established in 1999, Aerodata Geoscience (India) Pvt. Ltd. (AGIPL) laid the foundations of the TechEngg Group through aeromagnetic and geophysical survey work in Odisha. Originally supporting Australia’s World Geoscience Corporation, the company later moved into mining consultancy. AGIPL is also the parent company of World Trade Ventures FZE in the UAE.

1999Geoscience origins
Aerodata Geoscience (India) Pvt. Ltd. (AGIPL) incorporated to assist World Geoscience Corporation of Australia with aeromagnetic and geophysical survey work for the Odisha state government.
2000Mining intelligence
Assisted Modular Mining Systems of the USA (part of Komatsu, Japan) with a mine monitoring and optimisation project at NALCO, Damanjodi, using RFID and GPS tracking.
2004A wider foundation
Bobby Mohanty Foundation Trust established to address social inequality. WGC's acquisition by Fugro leaves AGIPL independent, moving into mining consultancy. The same year, Barenyam Holdings International opens in Singapore to manage ASEAN business.
2006The flagship takes shape
TechEngg Project Services & Equipments established to supply reliable equipment to Indian infrastructure, with a focus on the power sector. It becomes the group's flagship company.
2014A presence in Dubai
World Trade Ventures FTZ launched in Dubai for capital equipment, spares, consulting and trading across the MENA region.
2019Oil & gas collaboration
Oil & gas venture launched with Russian and Polish collaborations.
2021Mobility & well automation
Strategic stake taken in BuyMyEV Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, an EV start-up with in-house patented two-wheeler technology. Smart Pumper TechEngg Integrated Services formed as a joint venture with US-based Direct Drivehead for well-automation solutions.
2022Industrial tyre supply
Dealership secured for off-road and special tyres from JK Tyre and CEAT, serving Gabon and wider Africa.
2023Energy & sustainability
Seismic-survey collaborations signed with Geofysika Torun SA (Poland, onshore) and MAGE (Russia, offshore); a joint venture agreement signed with RPE Petroline-A for the oil & gas sector; marketing agreements signed with Tongwei, Jinko, Runergy and AIKO for solar PV modules and cells; and Planet Sustech launched for carbon-footprint assessment and mitigation advisory.
2024The battery value chain
Representative agreements signed across the solar PV supply chain, covering polysilicon, quartz crucibles, wafers, ingots, aluminium frames and PERC/TOPCon cell gases, alongside a joint venture as licensed producer of battery cell technology for BESS, EVs, HEVs, PHEVs and commercial EVs.
2025Energy storage supply
TechEngg Group becomes a supplier of BESS CKD (battery modules, packs and containers) for energy-storage projects.
2026Cell manufacturing technology
Only company in India with battery cell manufacturing technology, with technology partners in South East Asia, Germany and the United States.
