Shri J.L. Narasimham is a dynamic professional with over 3 decades plus of extensive experience with ONGC in the areas of Strategic Planning, Project Management, Budgetary Control, Production Operations, Reservoir Engineering, Geo Technical Analysis, Exploration, Quality & Safety Management, Liaison Work and Resource Management. Shri Narasimham, an IIT(ISM) alumnus, has played a key role in introducing technologies such as whip-stocks, expandable tubular technology, synthetic oil base mud system (SOBM), auto-track, etc. for achieving cost reduction, high per well productivity, suitable well completion, etc. He was awarded the prestigious “National Mineral Award, 2011” from Government of India for “Significant contribution for redevelopment of giant Mumbai High offshore field operated by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. Shri Narasimham was the Keynote Speaker (twice) in the international conference organized by IQPC, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2004 and 2005. Apart from this, Shri Narasimham has also co-authored several publications like ‘Maximizing oil production from Mumbai High – Challenges and opportunities’ and ‘Enriching experience from re-drilling in Mumbai High’, Petrotech 2003 and ‘Redevelopment of matured multi-layered carbonate offshore field (Mumbai High) through high technology horizontal and multilateral wells.’
